vegetable cream with pumpkin
(Pumpkin & potatoes cream - Our recipe)

how to do a cream with vegetables

500 g (1,1 lb) peeled pumpkin
500 g (1,1 lb) peeled potatoes
500 ml (16 fl oz - 2 C) milk
2 tablespoons dried chives
Pinch of nutmeg
Salt

Authentic Italian recipe -

  Spoon measures are American spoons, that is standard cook's measuring spoons used in USA.
  The best plan is to regard 2 American teaspoons or tablespoons as 1 English teaspoon or tablespoon (eating spoons)

Steam pumpkin and potatoes. Purée them and put in a saucepan with milk, dried chives and nutmeg. Season to taste with salt and cook over a medium heat stirring with a wooden spoon until mixture is smooth. Milk dose is indicative; you can vary it according your taste.
Serve hot.

Note
If you use low-fat milk, this is a light recipe of course.

What's the right wine?
Our suggestion is: Bianco Custoza (a white wine from Venetia)
