Time: preparation: 30 minutes

dressing salad, italian style

200 g (7 oz) lettuce, cleaned, washed and
    well drained
55 g (2 oz) pine kernels
55 g (2 oz) sultanas
2 "Granny Smith" apples, peeled and cubed
10 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2 teaspoons lemon-flavored olive oil
Salt

Authentic Italian recipe - an example of green salad

  Spoon measures are American spoons, that is standard cook's measuring spoons used in USA.
  The best plan is to regard 2 American teaspoons or tablespoons as 1 English teaspoon or tablespoon (eating spoons)

Soak the sultanas in warm water for about 20-30 minutes. Then squeeze of their soaking water.
Put the lettuce in a large bowl. Add the pine kernels, sultanas and apples; you have to add the apples just before serving the side dish. Season to taste with oil and salt.

Note
It's the best side dish for boiled meat, veal cutlets (Milanese style), steaks. It's a very tasty dish for a buffet. In this case the doses are enough for 12 people.
