fruit salad with pineapple
(Kiwi & pineapple salad - Our recipe)

Time: preparation: about 30 minutes

serves 4

1 pineapple
4 kiwi fruits
100 g (3 1/2 oz) candied cherries
8 tablespoons Cointreau (French liqueur)

Pineapple and kiwi salad

  Spoon measures are American spoons, that is standard cook's measuring spoons used in USA.
  The best plan is to regard 2 American teaspoons or tablespoons as 1 English teaspoon or tablespoon (eating spoons)

Halve the pineapple lenghtways and remove its flesh. Remove the woody core that is too tough and cube the flesh. Put the pineapple cubes in a bowl. Peel and slice the kiwi fruits crossways and add to the bowl. Add the candied cherries and liqueur and stir. Arrange the fruit salad in the pineapple halves. Chill before serving.
Serve this fruit salad in the pineapple halves and make portions at table directly.

Note
This is a tasty fruit salad and you can close an important lunch or dinner with it. Besides it's quick and easy and it's a no-cook dessert.
