  The best plan is to regard 2 American teaspoons or tablespoons as 1 English teaspoon or tablespoon (eating spoons)

Wash and hull strawberries very well; purée in a blender or food processor until smooth, and pass through a sieve, if desired.
Pour the chilled strawberry purée into a flute (1/3) and then add chilled sparkling wine (2/3).
The cocktail is ready to serve.
